Cerebral Palsy is a neurological condition that is known to cause physical disability in human development. In some individuals, Cerebral Palsy may be associated with intellectual disability. A person with Cerebral Palsy generally shows symptoms during the first three years of life. Some of the signs are:

  • Achieves motor and speech skills later than other children of his/her age
  • Has convulsions
  • Crawls in an unusual way
  • Has difficulty in feeding and sucking
  • Has poor motor coordination and balance
  • Has stiff muscles that also contract abnormally
  • Has bladder control problems
  • Has bowel movement problems
