How many times have we told ourselves, ‘don’t panic’? Maybe several times. But, in reality, panicis a serious condition where one faces extremely high level of tension for no specific reason that occurs suddenly,peaks briefly and then subsides. During panic, one might face some or all of the following symptoms:

  • Palpitations
  • Sweating.
  • Trembling
  • Shortness of breath
  • Feelings of choking.
  • Chest pain
  • Nausea
  • Feeling dizzy
  • Fear of losing control or “going crazy.”
  • Fear of dying

Since the state of panic is temporary and subsides after sometime, it might seem like it can be ignored when it is not happening. But in some cases, when it hampers normal, daily living and makes you unable to function in important situations.
